Jeremy L Sackett is a Co-founder and the Operations Director of Cascadia Labs. With a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, he gained subject matter expertise in analytical sciences and quality driven project management to bring regulated medical products to market.
As a member of multiple Rules Advisory Committees and technical workgroups, Jeremy advises on supply chain traceability, sampling design, product formulations/specifications, quality control testing, and packaging/labeling requirements included in rules promulgated for the legal cannabis markets in Oregon.
Jeremy dedicates these efforts to a personal mission of finding solutions for improved well-being for our local and global communities.
Ashley Preece-Sackett is co-founder and Field Services Manager of Cascadia Labs established in Bend, Oregon in 2013. Her dedication to the success of the company and progression in the cannabis industry has helped place Cascadia Labs as the leading cannabis analytical lab in the nation. Ashley holds a degree of Horticulture Science from Boise State University. She is on the brink of 2 decades of experience in horticulture sciences specializing in organic agriculture systems. The launch of the Cascadia Lab’s flagship facility brought her and her family to Portland in the fall of 2015. She is active in the cannabis community including inspections for Clean Green Certification, previously launched Portland Chapter Women Grow and continuously looks for progressive solutions within the industry. She enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, adventures with her daughter and traveling.
Julie Austin began working for Cascadia Labs in March 2014 in our Bend location. With her diverse background, she brings a unique perspective to Cascadia Labs. She previously worked as a Quality Control/Quality Assurance Engineer and worked closely with various labs ensuring samples were tested in accordance with requirements. She also has extensive experience as a computer programmer, designing databases and websites. As the Data Solutions Manager for Cascadia Labs, she has been an integral part in helping to launch the Laboratory Integration Management System and overseeing the smooth running of day to day operations. Julie is excited to be involved in the cannabis industry in Oregon and is a member of Women Grow Bend Chapter. When not working, she enjoys riding her bike, doing yoga and spending time with her husband, son and daughter.
Alex McVey joined Cascadia Labs in February of 2016 as a Laboratory Analyst. In his current position, he is involved in routine analysis of cannabis products and development of analytical methods to meet the demands of the rapidly changing cannabis industry. Past positions include Research Scientist and Quality Control Chemist. Alexander obtained a MS in chemistry from the University of Oregon, with a focus in polymers and coatings and completed his undergraduate work at Western Washington University where he earned his BS in Chemistry with a minor in Materials Science.
Holly began working for Cascadia Labs in April of 2016. She was the first analyst hired at the Portland flagship facility. She attended Washington State University where she received a BS in Environmental Science. Holly began working at an environmental lab shortly after graduating and gained valuable skills as an analytical chemist. Most recently, she worked at a toxicology lab where she analyzed samples for various pharmaceutical and illicit drugs. She lives in Vancouver, WA, where she was born and raised. She is a PNW native, and enjoys living in such a beautiful corner of the world.
Cameron began working for Cascadia labs in June of 2016. He has lived in Oregon his entire life and is a recent graduate from the University of Oregon where he studied molecular biology and philosophy with a minor in chemistry. Previous positions include emergency room medical assisting. While not working, Cameron enjoys playing and composing music for the cello, exploring the city for new coffee shops and building custom computers.
